The backdrop of the movie is a top secret drone operation to capture terrorists in Kenya. Eye in the sky , the name of the story refers to drones and similar very modern technologies.
Colonel Powell played by Helen Mirren finds out about a plot of suicide bombing and they target to kill rather than capture as had been planned earlier. American drone pilot Steve Watts (played very well by Aaron Paul) is about to attack but discovers a young girl who is in the area of the target. The dilemma escalates and the tensions and anxiety and uncertainty experienced by the military personnel in such situations forms the core of the movie. The moral responsibility of military personnel and how it becomes a burden at times is an issue that is discussed
In Eye in the sky we get to see the modus operandi of Modern warfare throughout the movie and it is presented entertainingly without any boring scenes or confusions.
